What vacation???

As a stay-at-home mom, most people think I am on vacation all the time.
This? Is so very not true! This week is Spring Break at my son's school. Many of his classmates have been at my house this week....I have had one stay the night ALL WEEK, two come over for play dates EACH DAY, and my nieces (two of em) have been here all week also. In addition to that a friend asked me to watch his two-year old for a few weeks while his daycare provider bonded with her newborn. So, at last count, I have had 5-6 kids in my house from 7:30 am til 5:20 pm for THREE. DAYS. This also means I have been up at the ass-crack of dawn everyday too! Cause WHY on earth would two 8 year-olds sleep in on THEIR vacation. Monday is gonna be a kick in our house cause for the first time in 9 days I will hear the words: "but mom, can I just sleep for 5 more minutes before I get up to go to school?".....yeesh! Also, I will be getting up at 6am three days a week til school gets out cause another friend works early and I take her two kids to school for her. I don't mind, because once all the kids are at school, I will have the chance to nap...which I haven't done since watching the two year old a month ago *grins*.....it's a good thing that you never forget how to do some things huh?

So my vacation is technically every weekday that my son is at school from about 10am til noon....unless I am driving for a field trip, reading in class, helping with a class project, doing fundraising stuff, etc., etc.

GAWD! I really DO love being a stay-at-home mom! I only hope the boy-child doesn't hate me by the time he is in High School....not many people get to spend so much time with their kids.

So, napping when I have the time REALLY IS MY VACATION my friends, it really IS!

Really?

I have a toothache.

I am not a happy camper.

I have a toothache, and I am an over 40 year-old cranky mommy right now.

Ouch!

And the aspirin? IS. NOT. HELPING.

Crap!

NAPS. ARE. GOOD!

Today's moment of absolute randomness:

Why is it that I refused to nap when I was TOLD to nap? What the hell was I thinking when I was 6? That I would miss something? Cause I SO could have used a nap today and no one told me to and it irritates me. I mean there comes a time in our lives when we should all tell someone we love that they should probably just go lie down and nap for a bit. I had one of those days today...busy as hell, not enough time to get it all done...you know we all have those days right? So in the midst of chaos, it would have been so VERY appropriate to take a breather and along with it, a nice nap. Two, maybe three hours tops. That would have made my day. Granted it would have made my day even less productive, but really, who needs clean sheets.

So do something for someone you love, and tell em to take a nap once in awhile....you may be surprised at how much happier it will make you, ahem, I mean them *grins*

Passwords and Bad Memory Syndrome

It is beyond me why I thought that I could maintain a blog......after realizing this morning that I HAVE a blog (snort) I thought to myself ..."ooh! I will try to do this weekly!"...Alas, this is day 1 week 1 after an absence of about 9 months so we will see how long it lasts lol!

I wanted to write something amusing and entertaining, but all I can come up with is my misery at trying to remember a password that hasn't been used in 3/4 of a YEAR! So! Here I sat trying in VAIN to remember something I haven't typed for so long *sigh*...I mean, really in the time since I last posted? I totally could have gestated a BABY for crying out loud.

Had to bend under the pressure, re-set the damn password, and admit defeat. This aspect is not new to me, since I then realized that I have re-set approximately 9 passwords in the last 10 days. Yes, I am indeed on the downward slope of youthful memory. I hate that it happened, cause I used to roll my eyes at my parents when they would start a conversation, stop midway, look at me embarrassed, and then WALK AWAY cause they did not want to admit they didn't have a clue what the hell they were saying not 2 minutes ago. Now? Now I do that to my 8 year-old and he laughs, tells me I have a LOUSY memory and walks away from ME!

So I decided I should probably keep a list of my passwords, what site they belong to, and when I created them. 72 passwords later? I am exhausted and annoyed and I forgot why I started the stupid list in the first place.

Oh Well! Maybe the next time I post something interesting would have happened and I can amuse and entertain you a bit better.

Until then, I am going to go alphabetize my password list, read a few smutty love novels, play Pokemon with my 8 year-old and hopefully remember that I have a blog....maybe I should write myself a note? Excellent idea if I do say so myself. The only problem? Where did I put the pens and paper?????

*walks away to find aforementioned items*

Have a Great week, I will be back on the 12th I HOPE!!!
